With over 30 years of experience as a registered nurse, I have been working as a Legal Nurse Consultant with Robins, Kaplan, Miller & Ciresi L.L.P. for over 17 years. My experience in medicine is diversified and includes clinical expertise in pediatric intensive care, newborn intensive care, surgical intensive care, catastrophic case management, home care and medical sales. During my 17 years with the firm, I have worked on some of the largest medical malpractice cases handled within our office. While I handle cases in all fields of medicine, I have a special interest in obstetrical care, pediatric care, cases involving misdiagnosis of medical conditions and delayed diagnosis of medical conditions.
Part of my job entails being involved at every step of the litigation process including obtaining and review of pertinent medical records, procuring experts to review the case, drafting the legal documents to commence the action, and assisting in educating the attorney regarding the specific areas or issues of medicine involved. My first and foremost duty is to be an advocate for our client and a conduit for them with their appropriate attorney. Our goal has always been to provide quality representation and zealous advocacy for those who have been injured due to negligence.
