Firm's Managing Partner, Steven Schumeister, Appointed Chair of the Fund for Legal Aid Society

MINNEAPOLIS (July 12, 2006) – Steven A. Schumeister, Managing Partner of the Minneapolis office of Robins, Kaplan, Miller & Ciresi L.L.P. has been appointed Chair of The Fund for the Legal Aid Society.
Schumeister is a member of the firm’s diversity committee and heads the Robins, Kaplan, Miller & Ciresi L.L.P. Private Charitable Foundation. His practice focuses on Commercial/Project Finance and Real Estate, as well as corporate finance and securities.
The Fund for the Legal Aid Society promotes the ideals and principles of civil legal services for low-income and disadvantaged persons in Hennepin County. Since 1981, The Fund for the Legal Aid Society has fulfilled its goals by raising money from the private sector for the benefit of the Legal Aid Society of Minneapolis. Attorneys focus primarily on housing issues, public benefits issues, family law issues, and issues that seniors and people with physical and mental disabilities face.
Schumeister’s term is effective beginning July 1 and will run for two years.
