Represents manufacturer of graphics processors in patent litigation venued in the Western District of Wisconsin.

Represents medical device manufacturer in patent litigation involving multiple families of patents, including patent counterclaims, related to embolic protection technology.

Intergraph vs. Dell, Hewlett Packard and Gateway: Represented Intergraph Corp. in patent litigation involving microprocessor system design in a case against Dell, Hewlett Packard, and Gateway venued in East Texas.

Represented Intergraph in a licensing campaign following the Dell case.

Represents Intergraph in litigation against Toshiba in the Northern District of California.

To date, under the three Intergraph System Patents, more than $500 million in settlements and licenses have been recovered, as follows:

  • Hewlett Packard $141 million, with cross licenses;
  • Dell/Intel $225 million;
  • Gateway $12 million plus ongoing royalties;
  • AMD $20 million plus potential future royalty profits;
  • IBM $10 million plus a license to IBM’s portfolio;
  • Toshiba and NEC, confidential settlements;
  • Fujitsu $9.75 million;
  • Sony $15 million;
  • Acer $7.5 million; and
  • Other confidential licenses

Assisted in the defense of air purification manufacturer in complex patent and trademark litigation.

Part of a group of lawyers who represented an inventor of infrared image enhancement technology in a multifaceted patent contract dispute.

Participated in patent infringement litigation at ITC over importation of allegedly infringing painting robots.

Participated in litigation in which settlements were reached on behalf of two families who lost three children in a vehicle fire. The details of the settlement remain confidential.

Represented a manufacturer of temperature controllers in a products liability defense case arising out of a major explosion and fire at a rubber processing facility in Mississippi.
