Robins, Kaplan, Miller & Ciresi L.L.P. is the recipient of the 2009 "Law Firm of the Year" award, presented by Tubman, a Minnesota nonprofit organization. The firm received this year's award for its leadership and contributions to Tubman's Pro Bono Safety Project, which provides quality pro bono legal representation to low-income victims of domestic violence seeking Orders for Protection (OFP) who need legal assistance.

Attorneys from Robins, Kaplan, Miller & Ciresi L.L.P. received the "Professional Excellence Award" for their pro bono representation of survivors of the 35W Bridge Collapse.  To date, the firm's attorneys have contributed 10,842 hours representing survivors of the bridge collapse on a pro bono basis.

Robins, Kaplan, Miller & Ciresi L.L.P. received a Pro Bono Award from the Children's Law Center of Minnesota on October 6, 2005.  The mission of the Children's Law Center of Minnesota is to promote the rights and interests of Minnesota's children, especially children of color and children with disabilities, in the judicial, child welfare, health care and education systems.

Robins, Kaplan, Miller & Ciresi L.L.P. was recognized for its advocacy efforts on behalf of asylum seekers and its longstanding commitment to making the justice system accessible to everyone. The firm has been instrumental in developing an Asylum Appeals Project designed to help deal with an influx of Board of Immigration Appeals cases into the federal appellate courts.
