Roman Silberfeld Elected to Board of Directors of International Academy of Trial Lawyers

LOS ANGELES (May 10, 2010) - Roman M. Silberfeld, managing partner of the firm's Los Angeles office, was recently elected to the Board of Directors of the International Academy of Trial Lawyers. Mr. Silbefeld was one of ten newly selected board members that were elected at the 2010 Annual Meeting held in Phoenix, Arizona.
According to its web site, the International Academy of Trial Lawyers is a group of truly elite trial lawyers, representing both sides of the Bar: prosecutors and defense lawyers in criminal cases, and plaintiffs' and defense counsel in civil litigation. Membership is limited to 500 trial lawyers in the United States. The purpose of the organization is to promote reforms in the law, facilitate the Administration of Justice, promote the Rule of Law internationally, and elevate the standards of integrity, honor and courtesy in the legal profession.
In 2002, Mr. Silberfeld was named a Fellow of the International Academy of Trial Lawyers, an honor that is given by invitation only and after undergoing an extremely careful vetting process that includes discreet inquiries of both judges and other trial lawyers of high standing. Mr. Silberfeld graduated from the University of California - Los Angeles (UCLA), with honors and received his J.D. from Loyola Law School, where he was an editor of the Law Review. He focuses his practice on Business Litigation, Mass Tort, Intellectual Property Litigation, and Health Care Litigation.
