Like many of its metropolitan counterparts, the Twin Cities legal community has long engaged in diversity efforts, with modest results. Home to almost 3 million people, Minneapolis / St. Paul is a perennial Top Ten contender on lists of U.S. cities with an enviable quality of life. Despite this, many of its largest law firms and corporate law departments have struggled to convice young attorneys of color to venture to Minnesota and build careers there.
