Robins, Kaplan, Miller & Ciresi, one of Minnesota’s largest law firms, recently reached the $1 million mark in charitable donations to William Mitchell College of Law, achieving that milestone with a leadership gift that resulted in a classroom named for the firm.

"The firm is pleased to continue its support to William Mitchell College of Law," said Michael Ciresi, chairman of the executive board of Robins, Kaplan, Miller & Ciresi. "The college is central to the vitality of the legal profession in Minnesota and has educated many of the lawyers at our firm. We are enthusiastic about the opportunity to help the college continue its mission in serving the Minnesota legal community."

The largest classroom on campus, seating more than 100 students, is now the Robins, Kaplan, Miller & Ciresi Classroom. It is the fourth named academic room on the William Mitchell campus and joins several other spaces named for firms or individuals. The room was completed in 2004 for the college’s Campus Enhancement Project, which added 32,000 square feet and 14 new or remodeled classrooms.

"This gift means so much to William Mitchell, both because of the vital support it provides for the recent campus building project and state-of-the-art classrooms and because it helps to maintain and emphasize our connection to the legal profession and our mission of graduating lawyers who have the practical wisdom to put the law to work," said Allen K. Easley, president and dean of William Mitchell.

Robins, Kaplan, Miller & Ciresi has more than 250 lawyers in seven cities throughout the United States.
