Boston Office Participates in Walk to the Hill for Civil Legal Aid
The Boston office recently participated in the 12th Annual Walk to the Hill for Civil Legal Aid, which brought more than 500 legal professionals to the Massachusetts State House. The cause aims to protect critical state funding for programs that provide civil legal aid to low-income Massachusetts residents.
The event was co-sponsored by the Equal Justice Coalition, Boston Bar Association, Massachusetts Bar Association, and 30 local and specialty bar associations. After hearing speaker Justice Ralph Gants of the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court, participants visited their legislators to request that $9.5 million be maintained for Massachusetts civil legal aid in the FY12 state budget.
As the Boston office's first year participating in the Walk to the Hill for Civil Legal Aid, Robins, Kaplan, Miller & Ciresi L.L.P. was recognized as the firm with the highest percentage of attorney participants.
