Kanika Moss Receives Robins, Kaplan, Miller & Ciresi L.L.P. Scholarship at University of Georgia School of Law
ATLANTA (January 27, 2010) - Robins, Kaplan, Miller & Ciresi L.L.P. is pleased to announce that Kanika Moss, a first-year law student, has been named the 2009 Robins, Kaplan, Miller & Ciresi L.L.P. Scholar at the University of Georgia School of Law. She will receive the scholarship through 2012. Ms. Moss attended the University of Georgia for her undergraduate studies where she studied Criminal Justice and earned her A.B., magna cum laude.
The scholarship supports the University of Georgia School of Law's mission of furthering educational diversity, and is awarded to those students who have overcome significant disadvantages or hardships, or who belong to groups historically underrepresented in law schools and the legal profession. Since 2005, the firm's Foundation for Children has funded this scholarship at an amount of $8,000 per year, more than half of one student's annual tuition and fees.
At the University of Georgia, Ms. Moss was a member of Sigma Alpha Lambda, a national leadership and honors organization dedicated to promoting and rewarding academic achievement and providing members with opportunities for community service, personal development, and lifelong professional fulfillment. She also volunteered at a local elementary school tutoring children in grades three through five, as well as working part-time at an Athens, Georgia retirement home.
