Project Rise Scholarships
The Boston office supported Project Rise by providing ten scholarships for the 2005 summer program. Project Rise is a nonprofit academic summer program designed to increase the enrollment of qualified and competent minority and economically disadvantaged students in private schools throughout the Boston area. The program, which has an intensive daily session in the summer as well as a weekly session during the school year, focuses on developing the often untapped academic and social skills of students in grades 6-12. Project Rise provides academic remediation in math, science, language and the arts in a private school setting. The goal of the program is to develop well-adjusted and intelligent students who will become productive leaders in education, business, and the community and society at large.
